The Low C Video


I am asked occasionally about the videos on the left hand side of the current site design. Bruce picks these videos. One he recently posted I was very interested to see, a video of how the lips actually move playing a low C. The lip motion recorded is very similar to the motion seen in this previous post, which is high speed video of the trombone embouchure at work.

I don’t know the story of who made this video. Apparently they used a clear mouthpiece and a strobe light and it has been on YouTube since 2006. Check it out, this video and the trombone video linked above could change how you think about your lips and setup in the low range.
