Besides posting a couple new episodes recently, I was recently pointed toward a couple new or new to me horn podcasts to check out.
First, to mine, I have two new episodes of the Horn Notes Podcast, and some exciting news, in addition to being on iTunes it is now on Spotify! I know my students use Spotify quite a lot, and it is an easy way to find and listen to podcasts. My new episodes are:
Horn Notes 31: Talking rock horn and more with Adam Wolf. In this episode, John Ericson has as his guest Adam Wolf, host of the Pathways podcast, the brains behind Rock Horn Project, and much more. Length 19:45
Horn Notes 32: Looking toward IWBC 2019 with Deanna Swoboda. In this episode, the conversation is with Deanna Swoboda, host of the upcoming 2019 International Women’s Brass Conference, to be held in late May on the campus of Arizona State University. Length 18:21
I will have another new episode in about two weeks, already recorded but not edited out.
The new podcast that just launched last month is from YouTube horn personality French Horn Patrick. Search for his new podcast, Horns & More, on any platform.
Finally, the podcast that was new to me is My First Gig by hornists Paula Kinev and Tyler Ogilvie. I do not know how I had missed it, as they are up to 25 episodes now.
Each podcast has a different vibe, frequency of episodes, and length range. In my own case, I aim for up to two episodes a month and under 20 minutes an episode. Check them all out; podcasters will decide to do other things if their stats do not show that people are listening! And remember, the old episodes are all new until you hear them.
