My Awesome New Case Straps
About a month ago I posted an article on avoiding case strap failure. I have had at least three case straps fail over the years.
Shortly after that was posted I made a trip to the army surplus store in Mesa as mentioned in the earlier article and purchased these backpack straps.
They are known as LBE straps and they cost me the princely sum of $12.50. The only modification was to tie the end with the shorter straps in a knot; they are a bit long for use on a horn case as manufactured.
I used them on the trip to the Southeast Horn Workshop and they turned heads occasionally at the event as they are green and have that military look. The big picture for me however being they worked great and I really have no fear these will ever break.
A hat tip to ASU DMA grad Nathan Stark for pointing me toward LBE straps. If you are on a budget and don’t mind the military look check these out, they are a viable option for backpack style horn cases.
