Exciting, new features at HM
While a number of updates have been done over the past few weeks and months, the most noticeable of late are Facebook Connect and Twitter.
Both of these new features offer exciting new possibilities for our readers. We hope you will find these tools useful – to better sort and use our content based on your own preferences and likes.
Facebook Connect
Recently, Facebook announced a technology that allows users to easily integrate their online social experiences. More and more web sites will be using this in the future, and given Horn Matters‘ recent upsurge in Facebook fans, this technology seemed like the next logical step.
The embedded video below does an excellent job of explaining how it works.
Facebook Connect is a great way to personalize your web experience not only at Horn Matters, but across the entire web!
In short, when you click the Like button, a link to that page is added to your Facebook profile. That link is shared with your friends. If you wish to easily Share an Horn Matters article on Facebook, hover over the Like button and a small pop-up will provide that service.
As the video points out your privacy will remain intact, controlled exclusively by your Facebook privacy settings. Outside of generalized traffic data, Horn Matters will not receive any of your private profile information whatsoever.
Tweet tweet
Another new feature is the Horn Matters Twitter page.
We are using Twitter to broadcast current articles and other interesting links on the Web. It functions in a sense like a secondary horn-related news feed, adding extra details to the articles on the main site.
If you are on Twitter, please follow us!
