Random Monday: Brain Transplants, Coasting and Canadian Brass Interview

  • Me, Myself and I
I read this article from Doug Yeo’s archive several times – “Me, Myself and I.” It is good to remind ourselves from time-to-time that great music is all about great teamwork.
  • Oops
Sometimes when I look around for Dennis Brain stuff, I stumble on pages like this. It always takes me a second or two to figure it out.
  • Damaged goods
So after reading this article yesterday, I had a little epiphany – why do I poke so much fun at music?

Well…its a defense mechanism. The horn, you see, has damaged my psyche.

That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

All joking aside, I think John’s article really hits at the root of something and if you missed it (like I did the first time around), it is worth reading.

  • New site feature
A new ratings system has been added to the site. Posts that you rate will compile in a new tab in top right column.

This new system is in addition to the current Likes feature, but it is little different – visitors can actually rate articles on a scale of one to five stars.

What the heck …we’ll try it out and see what happens.

  • Sometimes it just ain’t there
It is nice to see someone candidly confess to something that I imagine we all have experienced – phoning it in.
