Fine Tuning the Site
While I have not been writing much lately at HornMatters, I have been putting loads of time into fixing bugs and improving usability and functionality.
This is a big word in the web development field – usability.
Studies show that the typical designer loses their objectivity with a design after a few days of looking at it. This is why statistical tools are so important in gauging what is working on a web site and what is not.
This is why too, as musicians we use tuners, metronomes and private teachers, yes?
It really is no different.
In any case, besides squishing a few bugs, I have added a new feature on the main index pages – a listing of John and my 12 most recent articles – that I hope will help visitors find what they are looking for.
So while my writing output may ebb and flow, I am still here — behind-the-scenes — working to make HornMatters an even better experience.
