Christmas Gift Ideas for the Horn Player
Any hard to buy for horn players on your list? We have a few suggestions at Horn Matters.
How about at CD? Recently I briefly reviewed Horns for the Holidays, and there are tons of good recordings out there in hard copy and download versions. I have a top ten list of recommened CDs in my Horn Articles site.
A good mute is always something that is needed, especially a cool new stopping mute such as the two designs reviewed in this prior post.
Another “luxury” item but one that will be appreciated is a horn stand, such as the one in this prior post.
There are a lot of good books on the horn out there! Bruce posted a great top ten list of books last year.
A stocking stuffer I wish all my students owned would be the Schirmer Pronouncing Pocket Manual of Musical Terms, described in this previous post
