Video Resources on How to Oil and String Rotary Valves on the Horn

James Boldin, Assistant Professor of horn at the University of Louisana at Monroe has recently posted a great series of videos on horn maintenance. These are topics that are difficult to describe in written words but become clear with a visual demonstration.

First we have oiling valves.

Then we have stringing valves

I have also updated my post on how to take apart a rotary valve with another video from Boldin. This is a great series of resources for horn teachers and players.
