Horndog Fun and Humor in Review
An album of funnies and killing clams for fun and sport.
Since as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed puns, satire and parody.
“A picture can say one thousand words,” the old saying goes and in illustrated satire, it possible to make a statement without saying anything literally.
With Adobe Photoshop it is possible to make images for the blog while working on new techniques and skills that transfer over to design and development projects.
Kicking off this week of blog retrospection is a Picasa slide show album. It displays the various Photoshop creations that have been posted here over the past year and a half.
I honestly do not like how fast and limited this embedded widget’s interface. Someday, I might move this over to a Flickr account which has a much better widget for embedded photo albums.
In any case, if this moves too fast or is too small for you to read, the entire album may also be seen at the Picasa album source.
You can also subscribe to this album feed in an RSS reader.
» The clams must die
One area of specialty in my design experience is with a software program called Flash. It is another Adobe product that can be used for a variety of things, including animation.
A learning project that I started on last year was a video game — Zombie Clams from Outer Space. It is an old-school shooter game in the style of Space Invaders.
The idea of the game is that the player needs to defend themselves from invading clams that threaten to destroy their horn. The clams of course are the enemy, representing “clammed” or missed notes.
I have onlyprogrammed one level so far — some day I hope to get back to this and add more.
