Some orchestras won't hear anyone not playing a 103 (RSNO) whilst other sections all play Yamahas or Reynolds in the past(LPO). Alan Civil is known to have quipped over a nickel silver horn - Wrong Colour! I think horn players will always have strong views about what they like I guess but I think we can generally recognise wonderful playing when we hear it too! <br />I'm really enjoying both of your blogs BTW well done!
