At the time of this post, the Golden Clam Award is relatively new and some previously reviewed items on the Horndog Blog deserve this distinctive prize of recognition.

The Academy unanimously rewards four retroactive Golden Clam Awards.

These are listed in no particular order:

  1. The Horn Notes Blog
John Ericson is one of the handful of Internet pioneers who started a horn-related web site.
  2. Hornexcerpts.org
Daren Robbins has created an amazing resource for any hornist on the audition circuit.
  3. Horn Solo’s YouTube channel
As a nice companion piece to Mr. Robbin’s work, an anonymous Spanish user has created a deep video library of horn excerpts.
  4. Julia Rose’s Horn Page
Another Internet pioneer who is a professional player. Ms. Rose offers insights into the professional area; her Master Class Notes are a must-read.
