The hoard of paparazzi and press were present en force on the ceremonial red carpet to get their prized pictures and interviews with the stars.

In a less well-known ceremony across town, the Annual “Hubie” Awards took place earlier in the day. A famous celebrity in fact was caught on the Oscar red carpet proudly carrying her prized Jaded Clam.

Her emotional acceptance speech reflected an odd mixture of surprise and candor.

“You like me. You really, really like me!” she exclaimed in tears.
