IMSLP; a Source of PDF files of Horn Music

Last week in the comments section of a post on The Horndog Blog a link was posted to IMSLP, the International Music Score Library Project, which is a project I was unfamiliar with that is based in Canada; their goal is to post public domain works and editions on the Internet as PDF files.

The horn music list is here and there are a number of interesting downloads. Most of these clearly are public domain now in the USA, although I believe a couple might not be (but are in Canada, where the site is based). Included in the list are some very interesting etudes (including the original edition of the Op. 5 Kopprasch etudes for high horn—I have information on these here) and a number of popular solos such as the Franz Strauss Nocturno and the Mozart concertos. Worth checking out!
