About The Mellocast
Episode 35 of The Mellocast is an interview with me that touches not only on the specifics of my new book A Mello Catechism but also gives background information on why I wrote all of my new publications and much more. It is my overall hope with all of these publications to impact mid-range teaching and performance positively.
For those not familiar with it, The Mellocast is a weekly podcast on the mellophone that was started in April of 2007. I discovered this Internet broadcast over the summer as I was starting work on my book, it is a very unique and valuable new resource for a unique instrument. While the mellophone is an instrument that most horn teachers view with mixed feelings, it is a part of the mid range world of horn players. Things are clearly changing in terms of mouthpieces and instruments in positive directions, and in relation to these developments The Mellocast is a site to watch, http://www.mellocast.com/
